Sunday Bloody Sunday

We spent Sunday Funday on Rainey Street working with PERIOD’s Sunday Bloody Sunday! The non profit was originally developed because of the lack of menstrual supplies in the homeless community. As stated on their website, the nonprofit’s goals are to give women access to the period products they need to feel confident and clean every menstruation cycle, no matter their income.

As a 100% female funded and operated business, it was an absolute no-brainer to get involved with their Sunday Bloody Sunday bar crawl. The event was hosted by the Austin PERIOD chapter to raise awareness in our community and contribute funds and supplies to Austin’s homeless shelters. There were eight bars involved including: Augustine, The Alibi, Javelina Bar, Lucille Patio Lounge, The Parlor Room, Container Bar, Clive and Lustre Pearl. Each bar served a signature period themed drink of their choice and a portion or all the proceeds were donated to Periods ATX.

To maximize the space and crowd we had two selfie stations set up, as well as roaming photography! We partnered with Austin Flower Walls for the selfie station at Lustre Pearl and paired the selfie station at Container Bar with Pop & Drop’s streamer install! This wasn’t the first time we’ve had multiple services at one event, and it certainly won’t be our last! You can check out other events where we had multiple services here and here!

Teen Vogue's sweet sixteen

If you grew up like us, when you think of turning 16 you may instantly relate to this song or think of this show. #nostalgia

But honestly, if we were to turn 16 again, we would want a party exactly like this one!

Teen Vogue held their sweet 16 party in ode to inspiring, relating to, and educating teens for the last (almost) two decades! The party was held at The Line downtown Austin in the dreamiest pink space. Everything from the carpet, walls and decor to all the treats and drinks were in shades of pink! We’d be lying if we told you our inner 16 year old self was not in Heaven. Teen Vogue collaborated with Lightbox Jewelry to display their lab-grown jewels and take a pic wearing their pieces using their mirror.

For the collab, our client wanted to have our backdrop flow with Lightbox Jewelry’s theme colors of blue, pink and white. We decided on a tinsel backdrop because of it’s flirty and fun vibe and paired it with our selfie station. Unlimited boomerangs and selfies? Yes please. We cut the tinsel at an angle so you could get all three colors in each selfie. So many fun photos were taken with our selfie station, but also of our backdrop! Art Bra Austin 2019

Yep, you read that right, Art. Bra.

Breast Cancer Resource Center hosted their annual Art Bra Austin event! We’ve done this event in years past and it was just as beautiful and extravagant as ever. The sponsor for this years photography services was Natrelle (You can see the event we did last year and the sponsorship perks here.) Art Bra Austin is a runway show, showcasing models that are fully costumed in handmade bras by fabulous artists in the community. Every runway model is not only a survivor of breast cancer but also a BCRC client, so the event is very near and dear to their heart. Each bra that is showcased on the catwalk is put up for auction and proceeds go to women affected by breast cancer. Every year, the event raises awareness and allows the community to come together and share resources.

Kendra Scott was there in support, hosting a plinko style giveaway where attendees could win different gemstone jewelry and we’re happy to report, there we’re a lot of winners. The attendees were dressed to the nines and in elegant evening wear, but the artisan crafted bras were the true showstopper.

For the largely attended soiree, our client wanted to maximize the space and time by having three of our top-notch services there. We had our portrait booth, selfie station, and roaming photography at the event and we were still busy all night photographing the fun! By having all three services, we could guarantee the guests were photographed and entertained while the client utilized it’s marketing. We wanted the overlay to be simple and elegant for all three services, so we decided on a black template with the sponsors logo in their traditional teal.

Bumble BFF at Upstairs at Caroline

Uhhhh did we just become best friends?

Our team spent Saturday afternoon with the Bumble crew celebrating National Best Friend Day! The Austin-native app threw the brunch after party at Upstairs at Caroline to spread awareness about its launch and encourage the community to go out and meet new friends! Current BFF’s or friends that wanted to meet others on the infamous app were all in attendance. There were giveaways like Bumble endorsed hats, fans, stickers and sunscreen (because Texas), a Kendra Scott giveaway, Packed Party gifts, and if the attendees showed their Bumble BFF profile they received a drink on the house! Does this sound like the best way to spend your Saturday? That’s because it is.

Bumble decided on roaming photography for the event because it allows our team to interact with the attendees and get a diverse amount of shots. Roaming photography is perfect for events like this, where your guests are focusing on mingling and interacting with each other and we can maximize the space and time.

For the overlay, we used Bumble BFF’s infamous blue and the brand’s honeycomb hive. We added the fun holiday at the bottom left corner and Bumble BFF’s logo in the top right!

Austin Under 40 Awards

A black tie affair made for Austin’s best!

We had the pleasure to be part of Austin’s Under 40 Awards ceremony this month! This is the 22nd year that the gala was organized to celebrate emerging Austinites and to celebrate their success. There were 17 winners that stood out from their colleagues, ranging from from architecture and culinary art to legal work and education.

For the 750 guests in attendance, we knew having two photo booths were a no-brainer. We organized our portrait booth in the entryway of the gala and our selfie station at the VIP after party so we could have guests maximize their experience! The attendees were crazy about the portrait booth the entire event! From the second we set up the booth to when we were tearing down and packing it up, we had a line of guests eager to take their photo! The garden party themed allowed us be creative with the floral overlay of our selfie station images, paired with our streamer and balloon installation. We partnered with Austin Flower Walls for their backdrop with our portrait booth and had everyone asking if the flowers were real or not the entire night!

Kappa Kappa Gamma Sisterhood Party

The key to any fun Kappa Kappa Gamma sisterhood party is a photo booth! (See what we did there 😉)

Kappa Kappa Gamma is known for their academic excellence (sitting at a 3.65 GPA sorority wide) and their philanthropic ventures. To celebrate the ending of the semester, the girls hosted a party at their campus home which included our portrait booth and it was the perfect way to spend a Monday night! Along with a photo booth for the celebration, there was also an ice cream truck, fleur de lis decorated cookies and coordinating neon outfits. Anything that involves sweet treats and bright colors, count us in.

The KKG gals love the TV show Broad City, but can you blame them? We wanted to keep the overlay on-brand with the infamous TV Show, so we created bright teal bubble letters in front of a multi-colored block as a section of the photo. We kept it simple with a black backdrop so the overlay really popped and the attention stayed on the University of Texas themed props and girls!

When we turn on instant digital sharing, our software saves the emails or phone numbers that are shared to send the photo. You can also create an optional demographic survey guests can fill out after taking a photo so you know your audience even more! Lauren and Keegan's Wedding

We spent our evening at the charming Green Pastures, part of Mattie’s, in South Austin for Lauren and Keegan’s wedding and we couldn’t have dreamt of a more sophisticated night!

 The newly married couple decided to have a map out on display so their guests could flag where they traveled from, showing us their guests showered them with love literally from all over the world. In lieu of wedding gifts, the couple organized donations to two different charities so guests could donate an amount that was going to a great cause. The couple handed out Tiff’s Treats as the perfect way to end an already sweet night!

The couple loved the concept of props and wanted to keep it fun and interactive with their guests without overwhelming them with a million choices. We created props that were simple but still allowed guests to show off their personality! For the classy and charming night, we used our marble backdrop and paired a scripted font with a geometric pattern overlay to tie it all together and absolutely loved the look.
